American actress Selena Gomez once again demonstrated the great impact that being part of one of the most talked about and applauded films during the 2024 Cannes Film Festival had on her life: “Emilia Pérez”.
Through her official Instagram account, the singer also shared a short clip in which she shows her happiness and excitement after being informed about her participation in the French film.
In the video, just seconds after hearing the news, Gomez can be seen sitting on the same bed and covering her face while laughing and shedding a few tears, as well as mentioning “I can’t believe it.” The person recording the “Ice Cream” singer even mentions the word “cry” as a way to help her release her emotions.

Along with the video in which Selena is seen crying with emotion, the singer also published a series of photographs of her participation in the film, which gave her, along with her co-stars Zoe Saldaña, Adriana Paz and Karla Sofía Gascón, the award for Best Female Performance during the last Cannes Film Festival 2024.
Likewise, the production directed by Jacques Audiard was awarded the Jury Prize during the same French competition.
The film will be released in select theaters this fall and will later be part of the Netflix catalog in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
Is Selena Gomez pregnant?
Prior to Gomez’s post, the American businesswoman has also been involved in various controversies regarding her alleged engagement to Benny Blanco and even a possible pregnancy.
The “Single Soon” singer first shared an image on her Instagram account in which she appears dressed in an evening gown as she prepares for what appears to be a date night. Despite the simplicity of the photo, dozens of users couldn’t help but point out that the artist covered the ring finger of her left hand with a pair of emojis, mentioning that Gomez had hidden an engagement ring.
In addition to the above, and more recently, the singer became a trend again after her current partner, Benny Blanco, shared a series of images on his social networks in which he alluded to a baby with a photograph of a baby watermelon, as well as another image in which one of the music producer’s teeth has a baby figure.
