If anyone stole the show at the Democratic National Convention, it was Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff. The young woman revealed her most sincere reaction when her father, Doug, spoke about his admiration for Harris, and it went viral on social media.

“I love you so much. I’m so proud of how you’ve stepped up for us. But that’s just the way she is. Wherever you need her, however you need her, Kamala rises to the occasion,” Doug said of Harris.

A video is circulating on social media where the aspiring model can be seen melting with love for her father.

The 15-second video, which was shared on X, formerly Twitter, has so far received more than 4,000 heart-shaped likes and countless comments, most of them positive.

“You are not alone. Not a dry eye in this house.” “Ella Emhoff’s expressions were the best of the night.” “I love this family.” “Daughter loving her father.” “What a beautiful gesture of her love for Doug and Kamala,” some users wrote at the bottom of the video.

As the speech came to an end, Doug walked off the stage while Ella brought her clasped hands to her chest before giving her grandmother Barbara, who was standing by her side, a very affectionate hug.

This is not the first time Elle, who held a sign that read Doug at various points during her speech, has caught the attention of the press.

Days ago she was criticized for the look she wore on the first night of the convention, while some critics called her father “weird” for a display of affection he had with his daughter.

Radio critic Charlie Kirk, a supporter of Donald Trump, focused on an image showing Doug holding his daughter around the waist.

Social media users said, “It’s not strange at all,” “Is it strange to hug your son?” “Do you find it strange to see a father with his daughter?”

Someone even showed Kirk a photo of Trump holding Ivanka’s hip at a previous event and wrote, “Not at all.”
