Real Madrid’s English midfielder Jude Bellingham will be out for around a month after suffering an injury in training on Thursday at Valdebebas.
The player received a strong blow that resulted in an “injury to the thin plantar muscle of his right leg,” according to medical tests carried out by the club.
Real Madrid issued an official statement detailing the situation: “Following the tests carried out today on our player Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantar thin muscle of his right leg. Pending evolution.”
The incident occurred during Friday’s ball drill session, when Bellingham received a blow that forced him to withdraw from training due to pain. After the mishap, the player underwent medical tests to determine the severity of the injury.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti spoke about the incident in his post-training press conference. “He has had a knock and they are assessing him,” he explained, visibly worried about the young midfielder’s situation.
Club sources told EFE that Bellingham suffered a knock to his right foot and is expected to be out for around a month. This means he will miss the England squad for the Nations League matches scheduled for the September window. He will also miss Real Madrid’s upcoming LaLiga fixtures, including the clashes against Real Valladolid, Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Espanyol.
