Thalí García, an actress originally from Sonora, announced that she has reached an agreement with Telemundo after a long legal battle. The controversy began in February, when she left ‘La Casa de los Famosos’ after three weeks of isolation. Her departure was accompanied by serious accusations, such as that the network was trying to sue her and that she had suffered abuse situations during her participation in the reality show.
“Friends, family and media, I would like to share with you with absolute joy that Telemundo and I have managed to resolve our differences. I have always valued my long and good relationship with Telemundo. I am ready to look forward and end this chapter of my life. This is the last and only statement I will make on this matter; I hope and appreciate your understanding and support during all this time,” she added in a statement on one of her social networks.
Thalí García and her legal conflict with Telemundo
In her live broadcast on Instagram, Thalí García not only shared her negative experience, but also mentioned that the conflict with the television network had begun earlier, during her participation in ‘El Señor de los Cielos’, suggesting that there were underlying problems related to working conditions.
The allegations that she was drugged and locked in a suite with another contestant are especially serious and, if proven, would have had legal consequences for the show’s production. The entertainment industry has faced criticism in recent years over the safety and well-being of contestants on reality shows, and Thalí’s testimony could add further pressure for stricter measures to be implemented to protect participants.
The situation generated a wave of support for the actress on social media, as well as a debate about how these programs are run and the treatment received by those who participate in them. After several months, it was revealed that both parties reached an agreement in which they benefited.
