The season that New York Yankees captain and star Aaron Judge is leaving in the 2024 Major League Baseball season is on its way to being unprecedented and all thanks to the batting that is allowing him to achieve feats never seen before.

Following the Yankees’ victory this Friday against the Colorado Rockies and thanks to his 49th home run of the season, Judge is averaging 62 home runs at the end of the season, which could equal his record achieved in 2022 when he set the record (62) for most home runs in a single season in the American League.

That speaks to the power that Judge has demonstrated with the Yankees and that has been transcendental to remain in first place in the American League East division. But in addition to that, an investigation led by the New York Post revealed that Judge is even registering numbers that have no precedents in more than 120 years of baseball.

The newspaper’s analysis states that during the 100 games he has been able to play since April 27, Judge has averaged an offensive percentage of .378 with an on-base average of 1.505, with 106 RBIs, 84 walks and 45 home runs.

Those numbers in that 100-game span have allowed Judge to achieve numbers that had never been seen before even in the hands of other legendary hitters like Babe Ruth, Ty Cobbs or Barry Bonds.

In fact, if you look at the statistics, there has never been a hitter in the history of the Majors who has hit a .378 average and 45 home runs in 100 games.

Regarding his current form, his teammate with the Mules, Giancarlo Stanton, spoke about Judge’s offensive work, explaining that he always seems to do bigger and more surprising things.

“He’s done it before. They can’t be surprised. We have plenty of time for (Judge) to do even more impressive things,” Stanton said.

With all Judge’s accomplishments in the past, it seems inevitable that the outfielder will be on track to win his second career Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2024 after the one he received for his record-breaking 2022 season.
