MLS returned to action with Inter Miami’s 2-0 victory over Cincinnati FC at Chase Stadium.
And although Argentine star Lionel Messi was not in the lineup due to injury, another figure who was seen on the sports stage was Tom Brady.
Inter Miami is such a media sensation that it attracts many American sports personalities, and one of those present at the stadium in South Florida is Tom Brady, former NFL player and seven-time Super Bowl winner.
The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers player is a frequent guest of Inter Miami. In 2022, when he retired for the first time, the team congratulated him thanks to the friendship he has with David Beckham, the club’s president.
During half-time, ‘Becks’ presented Brady with a club jersey with the number 12 on the back. Currently, no player on Las Garzas’ roster wears that number. Previously, the number 12 was worn by Juan Agudelo (19/20), Aime Mabika (21/22) and Jake LaCava (22/23).
Brady has multiple links to football. The greatest quarterback in NFL history has been a minority shareholder in Birmingham City Football Club since August 2023, in partnership with Knighthead Capital Management LLC. The team currently plays in the English third division after being relegated from the Championship.
