Verizon announced the opening of more than 1,000 new sales associate positions in its stores across the United States, of which 78 will be available in the New York metropolitan area.

This expansion is part of the company’s plans to add 4,100 sales roles during the second half of 2024, demonstrating its commitment to investing in its workforce.

In New York State, 36 of these new positions will be opened, six of which will be in Manhattan.

Two locations will open each in the following locations: Baldwin, Bayside, Bronx, Brooklyn, Huntington Station, Levittown, Massapequa Park, Patchogue, Valley Stream and Westbury.

And the following locations will each open one job: Astoria, Fishkill, Forest Hills, Hartsdale, Jericho, Lawrence, Middletown, Mohegan Lake, Nanuet and Staten Island.

The New Jersey portion of the New York metropolitan area will have 39 new jobs in total. Six of these positions will be in Manalapan.

Four locations will open in each of the following locations: Brick, Bridgewater and Paramus.

Three positions will open in Succasunna and two positions will open in each of the following locations: Clifton, East Brunswick, Eatontown, Hazlet and Union.

One location will also open in each of the following communities: Burlington, Butler, Ocean, Rockaway, Short Hills, South Plainfield, Toms River and West Long Branch.

The Connecticut portion of the New York metropolitan area will have one additional job opening in Fairfield, another in Norwalk and one more in Stamford.

Kevin Zavaglia, Verizon’s Chief Sales Officer, highlighted the importance of these roles: “Verizon is not just a place to work; it is a place to grow, learn and build a future.”
