Christian Nodal has learned to deal with media attention and controversy in multiple ways. In different interviews and through his social media, he has mentioned that it is essential for him to maintain a positive outlook and focus on his work, despite the rumors and criticism that may arise about his personal life.
“At this point in life, nothing really scares me. I know my reality. So, at the end of the day, do you think that someone telling a lie is going to affect you? It will make you angry if it involves the people you love, but it doesn’t mean that your reality will change. People are very afraid of being guided by their hearts and, precisely because of this, by what people will say. You have to be happy,” she told MoluscoTV.
The artist has indicated that, although personal situations can be complicated, he prefers not to be affected by what is said in the media. Nodal has expressed his desire to protect his private life and that of his loved ones, focusing on his musical career and creating music for his fans.
“I was 20 years old and I didn’t know about the fan detractor, the hate; really, I didn’t have it face to face. Everyone gave me advice, said ‘how strange’, everything looked pretty good,” she mentioned during the interview. In addition, she added that: “I screwed up the first time, the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth. At that age and back then, I didn’t know how to divide the reality of social media. It cost me my mental health to the point that (it affected me) physically, emotionally and psychologically; in every way,” she added.
At times, he has used his music as a platform to express his feelings and experiences, which also helps him channel the emotions that arise in the wake of these controversies.
“My thing is singing, making music, and that’s what I am. Right now, if I pay attention to all those things, I feel that I am vulnerable; I am a human being. We are not here to make anyone unhappy, nor to make anyone make us unhappy. You can’t always live in that beautiful, precious panorama; life hurts sometimes; but I learned to take importance to the things that entail it,” she said.
