Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the suit he wore to knock out President Joe Biden in the June 27 debate is now on sale.
That event marked the beginning of the decline of the Democrat’s campaign, who eventually withdrew from the race for the White House and gave way to Vice President Kamala Harris.
“It’s something extraordinary. Each physical trading card has an authentic piece of the suit I wore in the presidential debate, known as the “suit.” knockout“It’s a piece of American history,” Trump said in a video posted on social media, Efe reported.
2,024 pieces of the suit will be available for purchase, each embedded in physical trading cards that can be acquired by purchasing digital trading cards.
A digital card, a kind of virtual postcard with an image of Trump, costs $99. To receive the physical card, you need to buy at least $15 digital cards, which brings the cost to $1,485 for a piece of the suit measuring about four square centimeters.
Those who buy more than 75 cards in a single transaction ($7,425) will receive, in addition to the physical card, an invitation to a gala dinner at the Jupiter Country Club in Florida, with Trump in attendance.
For 250 cards ($24,750), you will receive two tickets to the dinner, two to a pre-reception, and two physical cards with a piece of the costume in a larger size.
The June 27 debate was a turning point for Joe Biden, whose advanced age has always been a subject of criticism since he announced his candidacy.
His poor performance in that debate led to a growing wave of criticism within his own party, culminating in his withdrawal from the presidential race on July 21.
The president handed over the torch to his vice president, Kamala Harris, who in just one month has turned the polls around and now leads Trump by at least two points in the race for the November 5 elections, Efe reports.
