American singer Mariah Carey revealed the sad death of her mother Patricia, 87, as well as her sister Alison on the same day.
Through the specialized media People, the interpreter of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” revealed that last weekend she suffered the loss of her mother, who had been in poor health for the last few months. However, and surprisingly, the artist also mentioned that her sister passed away just a few hours after her mother’s death.

In the same statement, Carey did not mention or reveal the specific reasons why her mother and sister lost their lives.

The 55-year-old singer also mentioned that despite the unfortunate situation, she had the opportunity to be close to her mother during her final days of life: “I feel blessed to have been able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed away.”
Prior to Patricia’s death, Carey herself revealed, through her 2020 autobiography “The Meaning of Mariah Carey,” that she had a complicated relationship with her mother: “My relationship with my mother has been full of contradictions and conflicting realities.”
Regarding his sister, of whom he did not mention further information about her death, she would have died due to a totally unexpected situation.
For all the above, Tommy Mottola’s ex-partner asked, through the same medium, for respect and discretion from the media and her own followers in this situation.
I appreciate everyone’s love, support, and the privacy I have during this impossible time.”
