They say that “revenge is a dish best served cold” and that was exactly what a wealthy Chinese woman did against some employees of the luxury retailer Louis Vuitton, LV, who brought her to the verge of tears with their slights.
Through the Chinese platform Xiaohongshu, the resentful woman shared the “exasperating” experience she had last June at the Star Light Place shopping center in Chongqing, located in southwest China.
The employees rolled their eyes at him.
The woman, who felt slighted by staff at an LV outlet, said the action taken by the store’s employees toward her was simply “the most outrageous incident of the year” and returned to the store to seek revenge.
According to the woman, who uses the alias xiaomayouren, she went to the luxury store to buy clothes and the staff behaved distantly towards her. According to the dissatisfied customer, she was carrying a Hermes bag and the staff behaved distantly when they discovered the brand of her handbag.
According to the wealthy woman, the employees even ignored her request for a bottle of water and only brought her clothes from previous seasons when she was expecting to see the new products.
She also alleged that employees rolled their eyes at her and were very impatient with her when she asked for some dresses to try on, which even brought her to the verge of tears.
Following the mistreatment she was subjected to, the client called the luxury brand’s “headquarters” to report the act of humiliation, but was ignored.
The act of revenge goes viral
Two months after that bitter experience, xiaomayouren returned to the store, but not alone, but accompanied by her personal assistant, a friend and a bag with 600,000 yuan, or 84 thousand dollars, in cash.
She tried on a few clothes and handed the employees the bag full of bills for payment… The employees spent two hours counting the money and when they were about to finish, the woman told them “we don’t want to buy now. We’re leaving.”
“After they finished telling me, I just took my money and left. How is it possible that I buy their products to improve my job performance?” the woman expressed through her social networks.
As expected, Chinese social media reveled in the wealthy woman’s act of revenge and made her revenge go viral.
In general, users of the network praised the woman’s attitude: “This ending is very nice. I’ve always wondered why these employees are so arrogant.” “They sell luxury items, but that doesn’t mean they are luxury items of themselves.”
