Footballer Emilio Lara was presented this Friday by Rayos de Necaxa as their new reinforcement for the current Apertura 2024 tournament of the Liga MX with the aim of strengthening the squad to be able to fight for the title of champion of the tournament.

During his presentation press conference, the player decided to speak about the rumours that were spread on social media about him not wanting to sign a contract with the club, something that he completely denied and seemed quite happy to join their ranks.

“There will always be rumors everywhere, but I made it very clear to my teammates today. At no time did I refuse to come. To me, it seems like a team that proposes that it doesn’t care who is in front of them. I always try to give my best. The truth is that I feel very identified and when I found out that there was interest, I didn’t think about it and at no time did I doubt it and here I am happy to arrive,” said Lara.

The youth player of the Club América Eagles also stated that he does not feel that his arrival at Necaxa is a revenge and assured that his only objective is to be able to push the club to be more competitive and also to improve himself as an athlete in order to have a greater value in the international market.

“More than a revenge, I see it as an opportunity to grow, I feel that it was a great decision to come to this club, it will be a good boost for my career, it would have been very foolish of me to have wasted the interest,” concluded Emilio Lara in his statements.

Lara joins Rayos on a one-year loan with an option to buy if he feels comfortable within his new club; he is expected to see his first minutes against Santos Laguna this Sunday in the match corresponding to Matchday 6 of the Apertura 2024 tournament.
