While many Hollywood stars are forced to lower the price of their properties to make them more attractive, actress Jean Smart managed to get a significant offer just 24 hours after putting her house in Encino, California, up for sale.
The award-winning actress, most recently remembered for her work in the series ‘Hacks’, put the property up for sale for $5.9 million. It is not yet known whether the offer caught the attention of the actress and her agents or if they are waiting for better offers.
There is no doubt that there has been an interested party in the near future, and the asking price could be raised, if there are others. The property appears to have been removed from Coldwell Banker’s listing at the moment, but remains available on agent Cindy Ambuehl’s website.
What is most surprising is that at the moment there is only one photo of the property, one that shows the facade of the main house and part of its green areas.
Smart purchased the home in 2002 for $1.5 million with her husband Richard Gilliland, who passed away on March 18, 2021. During their years as owners of the home, they undertook extensive renovations to the property, including an expansion of the main house.
The main house has an area of 8,521 square feet distributed in six bedrooms, four full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, foyer, living room, great room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room and other amenities.
Since there are no photos of the interior of the property, there are not many details about its design, but it is known that there are large windows that provide good light to the residence.
In addition to the main house there is a guest house with a bathroom, a bedroom and its own kitchen.
Outside there are extensive green areas with a terrace, swimming pool, spa area and other spaces ideal for enjoying the outdoors.
