Jennifer Lopez’s best friend, Leah Remini, announced her divorce petition from her still husband Angelo Pagán, after 21 years of marriage, through a post on her official X account.
Well, here we are. After 28 years together and 21 years of marriage, we have decided to file for divorce. This decision came after much thought and care, and as difficult as divorce is, we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it is what is best for us.
In the same post, the “Kevin Can Wait” singer revealed that the main reason she decided to make this decision with Pagán was due to the “changes” that both suffered during the last few years and that distorted their way of being.

In the same message, Remini also pointed out that despite the “effort” and “consideration” to take this step, both maintain a “strong bond.” Finally, the actress mentioned that the way they carried out their marriage for so many years is “something to celebrate.”
Finally, she made it clear, through the same message, that from her and Angelo’s perspective, their marriage was a success, so they hope to continue creating precious moments but in a different way.
Leah and Angelo have a daughter together who was mentioned in passing in her message. It is not yet known if the couple is officially divorced or has begun the process to get to this state.
Remini’s announcement, ironically, comes just days after her best friend, JLo, filed for divorce from Ben Affleck in Los Angeles Superior Court. Although the singer has not yet revealed or shared any official information about this decision, various media outlets have pointed out that in the petition, Jennifer Lopez cited “unrecognizable differences” as the reason for the separation.
Likewise, and within the same documents, it was noted that Lopez “demanded” a series of conditions such as the return of her maiden name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez, as well as her rejection of the concept of spousal support, something that she also asked be denied to Affleck.
So far, the American actor has refused to make any kind of statement or take a position on Lopez’s request.
