An innocent man was beaten and robbed by two suspects who caught him assaulting another man inside a Queens subway station this week, authorities said.

Identified as Jeisson Bedoya, 35, a Queens resident originally from Colombia, he witnessed two criminals beat and stab another man on the mezzanine of the 82nd Street-Jackson Heights subway station around 1:00 a.m. Monday.

“She didn’t even have time to call 911,” said the victim’s aunt, Yolanda Bedoya, 57.

“But when he saw those guys stabbing the other guy and beating him, he turned around and quickly walked down the stairs.”

However, the criminal couple saw Bedoya flee and realized that he had seen what they did and headed towards him, said his aunt.

“They grabbed him on the stairs, they pushed him down the stairs, but he managed to grab onto the [barandal]”, explained Yolanda Bedoya on behalf of her injured nephew.

The individuals also stole the Hispanic man’s cell phone, but he managed to recover it, according to his aunt.

But that wasn’t the end of the attack. The menaces followed him down the station stairs, where they hit him several times before he was able to run out into the street, according to security camera video obtained by the New York Post.

A patrol car quickly stopped on the block and Jeisson signaled the officers, who chased the criminals, but they managed to escape.

The blows left the Hispanic man with a black eye and pain in his back, due to the couple’s attempt to push him down the stairs, but he refused the help of the paramedics.

Jeisson was returning to his aunt’s house, where he lives, after meeting a friend when he was brutally beaten.

“He never expected something like this to happen to him,” his aunt said.

“We used to tell him, ‘Jay, don’t go out too late. Don’t stay out too late. It’s getting too dangerous. ’ It’s not like it used to be.”

Anyone with information about the attackers is asked to contact the New York Police Department’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
