Al-Nassr footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is still planning his future away from football and on Monday he revealed that he hopes to be able to compete in the future with YouTube king, content creator Mr. Beast, who has more than 310 million subscribers on the platform.
As part of a press conference regarding Portugal’s matches against Croatia and Scotland in the UEFA Nations League, Cristiano Ronaldo attended a press conference where he spoke, among other things, about his recently created YouTube channel called “UR Cristiano”.
But after a direct question from a journalist about his future as a YouTuber, the former Real Madrid player assured that his goal is to surpass Mr. Beast.
“He is the man (Mr. Beast) that I have to beat on YouTube and I want to beat him, be careful (laughs). My children tell me that I have become a YouTuber! But above all I want to be close to my fans,” said CR7 in response to a question from the media.
Cristiano Ronaldo has now accumulated 55.6 million subscribers on YouTube, a growth that has not stopped since less than 15 days ago when he made his channel official with his first 18 public videos.
Since then, El Bicho has continued to publish material of interest to football fans, including an interview with his friend and former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, as well as another one with his partner Georgina Rodríguez where the model and influencer rates Ronaldo’s past outfits.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s YouTube numbers could continue to grow in the coming weeks if his content is also published on his Instagram account, which has an incalculable reach, accumulating more than 630 million followers, making him the most followed person on the social network owned by Meta.
