Contrary to what other artists have done, who have openly criticized the use of Artificial Intelligence because they have been “victims” of this tool through fake photos and videos, Shakira decided to use this digital “resource” to her advantage to send a message to her past self.
Through her official X account, the “Waka Waka” singer shared a video, made using Artificial Intelligence, in which she paid “tribute” to the girl she was and her importance in becoming the world star she is today.
Many times this girl gave the woman strength to continue. Today more than ever I embrace her.”
Shakira “hugs” the girl she once was
In the video, the Colombian singer, reflected in her current image, appears hugging her past self, which corresponds to the beginnings of Shakira’s career, specifically the stage in which she recorded the video for the song “Ojos Así.”
During those years, and as can be seen in the video, the singer of “Día de Enero” sported black hair as well as a much more youthful style.
After the video was published, dozens of the singer’s followers did not hesitate to show their support and admiration for the singer with comments such as: “We are also here for you, do not forget it”, “Always beautiful and human”, “I love those children and the woman you are today. Shakira, thank you for existing and being the soundtrack of my life”, among others.
Shakira is heavily criticized for her physical appearance
Prior to the video being published, the ex-partner of Spaniard Gerard Piqué became the subject of a great deal of criticism for her appearance. After the businesswoman appeared during an art exhibition of her niece Isabella Mebarak, dozens of users pointed out that the South American looked different because, supposedly, she used botox on her face.
Despite the above, another large group of users pointed out that despite how different Shakira’s face looked, she does not require surgical interventions because she has “natural beauty.”
So far, the singer of “Hips Don’t Lie” has not commented on this type of comments.
Currently, and thanks to a recent post on Instagram, Shakira is preparing for the start of her tour, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour,” which will kick off on November 2 in the city of Palm Desert, California.
Since the Colombian singer has so far announced that her tour will only be in the United States, which will end on December 15 in the city of Detroit, it is expected that in the following weeks the artist will reveal her shows, in 2025, for Latin America, Europe and the rest of the world.
