Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are one of the most solid and admired couples in Hollywood. The singer and actor, who welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove in 2020, have maintained a relationship characterized by discretion and mutual support. However, recently, the singer decided to open a window into her private life and share some details about how she rewards her partner when he does household chores.
During a conversation for the podcast Call Her Daddy, hosted by Alexandra Cooper, the 39-year-old singer spoke about a variety of topics. One of the most talked-about moments of the conversation was when Perry explained in a funny way the unique display of gratitude she has for her daughter’s father when he takes care of washing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen.
Perry, known for her cheerful spirit and sense of humor, was quick to express that her “love language” with Bloom includes special rewards when he takes care of household chores.
“If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean and you’ve done everything, washed the dishes and closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to receive oral sex,” he explicitly revealed.
Although her statements were surprising, the singer was relaxed and sincere when talking about how these gestures are part of their dynamic as a couple.
“I don’t need a red Ferrari, I can buy one. Just wash the dishes and I’ll take care of the rest,” she joked, stressing that small acts of service are one of the ways their relationship remains stable.
In addition to comments about her intimate life, Katy Perry also reflected on her personal evolution and how this has influenced her choice of partner. Throughout the interview, the singer made it clear that she is no longer attracted to people with narcissistic behavior, a trait she said she avoided identifying in the past.
“I’m not attracted to narcissists anymore,” she said. This shift in perspective is part of the personal growth she has experienced in recent years, which has allowed her to identify what she truly values in a relationship. For her, mutual support and respect are fundamental, and these values seem to be the basis of her bond with the actor.
Katy Perry also shared how her strict religious upbringing influenced her perception of sex and relationships. Raised in a deeply religious home, where her parents were Pentecostal pastors, the American recounted how these beliefs affected her personal growth and the way she approached relationships in her youth.
“I wasn’t allowed to acknowledge someone of the opposite sex,” she revealed, recalling how her upbringing limited her in many ways. She even mentioned that she was forbidden from using tampons, which led to awkward situations during her teenage years. According to the singer, that context made it difficult for her to understand and explore her sexuality in a healthy way.
Throughout the interview, Perry stressed the importance of honesty and communication in her relationship with Bloom. Since they began dating eight years ago, the couple has faced various stages, including the arrival of their daughter and the pandemic, which has tested their ability to stay together.
