Unilever. Helados Holanda. Rexona. Cklass. These are the brands that yesterday decided to stop sponsoring La Casa de los Famosos México, second season. All thanks to the high levels of violence that many of the inhabitants of the fourth earth have carried out against the celebrities that make up the fourth sea.
All of the aforementioned brands shared a statement in which their ultimate goal is similar: to disassociate themselves from any program that does not represent their own values in favor of a better Mexican society.
Here is Unilever’s statement, which is also very similar to the other sponsors mentioned above: “Having a set of solid values that promote respect for people and society is what has always guided our operations, partnerships and brands. With this commitment in mind, we made the decision to leave the second season of the reality show La casa de los famosos in Mexico because certain messages have repeatedly been broadcast by some of the participants that do not align with the company’s values.”
It continues: “We firmly believe that everyone should be treated with dignity, honesty and respect. With this commitment in mind, we disapprove of any type of aggression, violence or degrading act towards any person and we urge the promotion of respect and dignity. It should be noted that comments or actions of third parties are not sponsored by any platform or program with which we may be associated.”
“We are committed to acting with integrity and supporting content that makes a positive difference in the media and society, contributing to a world where respect and dignity are the norm.”
It is said on social media that another brand that exerted the final pressure for the production to remove AM from the game was Coca Cola, thus giving Televisa an ultimatum.
