Margot Fonteyn, one of the most important dancers in history, was the wife of a Panamanian diplomat and for several years the couple lived in an impressive mansion located in the Knightsbridge district of London.
That same property has just entered the real estate market for $85.8 million. It should be noted that the place became the residence of the Panamanian ambassador to England for a time, so it has several amenities and luxuries.
Originally built in the 1920s, the property has undergone extensive renovations in recent years to keep it in good condition. The couple lived in the property from 1955 to 1966.
The last major renovation of the property was done after 1999, when the residence ceased to serve as the official residence of the Panamanian ambassador. The property is now known as Fonteyn House.
It should be remembered that Fonteyn spent her entire artistic career with the Royal Ballet, and for most of that time she was the principal dancer in the group. She died in February 1991.
Returning to the house for sale, it should be said that the main house has an area of 15,980 square feet spread over three floors with six bedrooms, several bathrooms, a hall, a living room, a main room, a cinema room, a gym, a dining room, a kitchen, a laundry room and other amenities.
The interior of the residence looks modern, every detail has been custom made and makes the residence top-notch. It has large windows, French doors, ornamental balconies, hardwood floors, marble floors and more.
Its indoor pool and other spaces ideal for entertaining in the comfort of your home are worth highlighting. There are also green areas with a terrace, gardens, dining room and barbecue area.
