Singer Lady Gaga is more in love than ever and, for that reason, she decided to open her heart and tell how she met her current partner Michael Polansky, as well as talk about her recent engagement.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, Gaga, 38, revealed that she met Polansky through her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, who had an immediate impression upon meeting the businessman.
“My mom met him and she was like, ‘I think I just met your husband,’ and I was like, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband! ’ I could never have imagined that my mom… found the most perfect person for me,” the singer recalled.
However, the connection between Gaga and Polansky was cemented during businessman Sean Parker’s birthday party in Los Angeles in September 2019.
“I was invited and I said, ‘I wonder if Michael is going to be there,’ and my mom said yes, so I went to the party and kept asking about him and he eventually approached me and we talked for three hours. We had the most amazing conversation,” she said.
After that meeting, the couple had long telephone conversations before going on their first date, and then spending the Covid-19 lockdown together in Malibu, California.
The “Monster” singer described that time as a special gift, saying it allowed her to focus on her relationship and discover genuine support beyond her fame as Lady Gaga.
“I had been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of that time was that I was able to focus completely on my relationship. I met this totally understanding and caring human being who wanted to get to know me,” she said.
Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, (her real name), announced her engagement at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, when she introduced Michael Polansky to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal.
“I’ve never met anyone like Michael. He’s so smart and so kind. And his life and mine are very different. He’s a very private guy and he’s not with me for any other reason than that we’re meant for each other,” she revealed.
Lady Gaga quits smoking marijuana
Lady Gaga has revealed that she quit smoking marijuana after a hip fracture triggered a series of health problems, including fibromyalgia.
“I did it painlessly! I haven’t smoked marijuana in years. I’ve changed,” the singer said.
The tour for ‘Chromatica’, her latest album, represented an “epiphany” for the artist, as together with Michael Polansky, she lived through her concerts without pain, which marked a significant change in her life.
This experience not only improved her physical well-being, but also influenced the focus and themes of her music, describing her new album as a work that reflects a change of perspective, from misery to happiness.
