After 7 years of absence from the music industry, following the death of their vocalist Chester Bennington in July 2017, Linkin Park made their public comeback with a surprise concert and the inclusion of their new vocalist.

Prior to their performance, the band shared a mysterious image on social media that included the message, “Be part of something,” as well as a date: September 5, 2024.

The above was considered by dozens of followers and fans of the Californian band as an announcement about their return to the music scene. Finally, and after dozens of speculations, the group confirmed their return by appearing in a live broadcast where they also revealed their new vocalist.

Linkin Park adds a new voice to the group

At the beginning of their show, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix, Joe Hahn and drummer Colin Brittain, who was announced as one of the new members of the group a few days ago, appeared on stage.

With the phrase: “It’s good to see you again,” guitarist, vocalist and keyboardist Mike Shinoda began the presentation with the interpretation of the song “Emtiness Machine,” one of the group’s new singles.

Surprisingly, halfway through the song, Shinoda’s voice merged with that of singer Emily Armstrong, who confirmed her addition to the band after the series of rumors that spread in previous weeks.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Emily Armstrong. Make some noise.”

Following the American artist’s revelation, the band continued the show with the performance of various hits such as “Numb,” “Somewhere I Belong,” “The End,” among others.

Finally, Shinoda took the microphone again to thank those who attended his show and all the people who watched the concert on social media, and then revealed, as a final surprise, the release of his new album called “From Zero”.

In addition, it was also revealed that Linkin Park will embark on a world tour, which, so far, only has six dates in six different cities around the world: Los Angeles and New York, United States; Hamburg, Germany; London, United Kingdom; Seoul, South Korea; and Bogotá, Colombia.

Despite the announcement of the band’s official return, dozens of users expressed their annoyance due to the few dates revealed so far for the tour. Therefore, Linkin Park is expected to reveal more shows in the following weeks.
