The controversy over ‘La casa de los famosos México’ reflects a common phenomenon in today’s society, where entertainment and social reality often collide. The second season has captured the attention of a considerable audience, dividing viewers into factions that support different groups within the show.

Eugenio Derbez, known for his ability to mix humor with social criticism, has taken advantage of his social media platform to express his concern about the polarization he sees in the country. His sarcastic comment has struck a chord with some, who see it as validation of their own concerns about the distraction these programs represent in the daily lives of citizens.

“It is important, sometimes, to speak up. I see Mexico and I see it burning, divided. And I think it all comes from bad information. I was in Mexico recently, but I haven’t been able to return for a month, I haven’t been there for work reasons and I only see what is happening through the news and social media,” he began by saying in a video shared on Instagram.

“We need to be well informed to make the right decisions. Because, well, we have to know, if Mayito danced the ‘Gallinazo’, if Adrián Marcelo said so and so. I admit, I don’t know anything because I haven’t had time, I haven’t seen a single episode, I don’t even know who is there or who isn’t there,” he added.

However, his followers on the social network with the little camera have pointed out the lack of consistency in his observations, suggesting that while he criticizes the current situation, he has not always been so clear in his opinions of past administrations.

Before ending his controversial video, he added: “I accept it, I have to be informed. I have to know who is in the house. We cannot be like this, we cannot be divided, we have to be informed, know what is happening so we are not fighting with my grandmother, with my aunt, with the neighbor. We have to be well informed. Before making a decision to know who we take out of the house and who stays. For us. For Mexico. Thank you.”
