Tyreek Hill’s arrest continues to be a topic of conversation. The video footage from the body camera of one of the officers came to light and revealed the brutality of the arrest and the player’s conversations with the police. In addition, the detention of other Miami Dolphins players who ended up handcuffed.

Miami-Dade County Police released the images that have spread like wildfire on social media and are now trending across the United States.

The sequence begins with officers approaching Hill’s car after he gave him the stop signal. This was just a few blocks from Hard Rock Stadium. The officers told the player that he was speeding.

The Dolphins receiver immediately went to question him about his speed. One of the officers knocked on the vehicle’s window and Tyreek complained about the way he did it. He then handed over his identification.

Hill asked the officers to give him a ticket. Tensions increased when, after this request, the player rolled up his window. The police officers did not like the gesture and firmly asked him to roll it down.

“Keep your window down or I’ll kick you out of the car. In fact, get out of the car,” the officer said. A second officer threatened to break the window. “We’re not playing this game,” another officer said as body camera footage shows one officer opening the door, reaching into Hill’s car and pulling him out with the help of a fellow officer.

“Hey, Drew, I’m going to get arrested, Drew,” Hill is heard saying, apparently speaking to his manager, Drew Rosenhaus. “When we tell you to do something, you do it, not what you want, but when we tell you to do it. You’re a little confused,” one officer said.

The player’s anger was already evident, as the officers forced him out of the car and laid him face down on the asphalt. “Take me to jail, bro. Do what you have to do,” Hill replied while lying on the ground.

The video also shows a person in a vehicle asking about the situation and Hill responding: “I didn’t do anything.”

The Dolphins receiver complained about an alleged racist episode and suggested that his arrest was due to “being a black man in a nice car.”

Two Miami Dolphins players were handcuffed

The footage also shows the intervention of Odell Beckham Jr. and Calais Campbell. The defensive lineman approached the scene with his hands up. The officers ordered him to move away and he ended up handcuffed alongside Jonnu Smith.

In total, three Dolphins players tried to help Hill. Two of them ended up in handcuffs. Hill was eventually issued traffic tickets and left in the passenger seat of his vehicle with his manager Drew Rosenhaus.

According to ESPN, Tyreek Hill received two summonses from the Miami-Dade Police Department. The charges are “reckless driving and failure to wear a seat belt.”
