Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA star LeBron James, was selected in the second round of this year’s NBA Draft. The Jameses will become the first father-son duo to play together in the league.

Bronny even made his debut with the Lakers in the Summer League on July 12 against the Houston Rockets. The rookie from the University of Southern California finished the game with eight points, five rebounds and two steals.

That game will undoubtedly go down in history and that is why a fan recently paid nearly $38,400 at auction to get his hands on the jersey that Bronny wore that day.

The information was reported by Bleacher Report And even though the estimated cost of this jersey was between $6,000 and $10,000 dollars, the person who bought it went over this amount to secure it and reach a record price for an NBA rookie jersey.

The James family seems to be used to generating big money by auctioning off jerseys. His father, LeBron, managed to fetch $3.7 million for the jersey he wore in Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs.

When will Bronny and LeBron play together?

The Los Angeles Lakers will open the 2024/25 NBA season at home on October 22. The Californian team will host the Minnesota Timberwolves at Crypto.com Arena and the James family is expected to make history that night.
