Authorities say a man was stabbed to death amid a dispute on a Brooklyn street early Sunday morning.

The victim in question was stabbed in the left side of the torso on a stretch of Nostrand Ave. near Fulton St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, in a busy shopping area, around 12:30 a.m., officials said.

Paramedics took the man to Kings County Hospital, but he was saved.

The murder left traces of violence at the scene with the sidewalk covered in blood, the Daily News reported.

“Man, I saw all that blood earlier and I was in shock. I couldn’t believe it,” said a nearby resident who preferred to remain anonymous. “I pass by here all the time. It’s a very busy area, but a stabbing and seeing all that blood, I’ve never seen that before. It’s terrible.”

The New York Police Department (NYPD) has not made any arrests in this regard and is working to determine the identity of the victim.

“That’s sad,” said a man who hangs out on the block and declined to give his name. “You shouldn’t take someone’s life over some disagreement. It’s sad to hear this this morning. I hope they find the guy who did it.”

This stabbing is the fifth homicide in Brooklyn’s 79th precinct.

The district has witnessed seven murders as of September 8, 2023, according to NYPD statistics.
