Wilmer Rosario was shot dead yesterday at the start of the day in Upper Manhattan (NYC).

The 32-year-old Hispanic man was shot in the face and chest inside a commercial building on 10th Ave. near W. 205th St. in Inwood around 5:45 a.m. Monday, the NYPD said.

Paramedics rushed him to Harlem Hospital but were unable to save him. Rosario lived on Britton St. in Bronxwood, about 3 miles from where he was killed, she said. Daily News.

Authorities said a dispute broke out inside the location, resulting in an exchange of gunfire between the victim and an unidentified suspect, who remains at large, he said. Bronx Times.

Rosario was at least the fifth Hispanic to be shot to death in New York in less than a week: on Friday night, 23-year-old Jean Pierre Rengifo Arteaga was shot in the head, right forearm and stomach outside a home in Queens.

Previously, on Wednesday Carlos Solano (43) was shot dead also in Queens hours before taking his nurse mother to a 9/11 memorial event to honor the memory of three of his coworkers who lost their lives at the World Trade Center in 2001.

On Tuesday night, the 10th, a suspect approached Juan Lluverez, 35, on a Citi Bike and shot him three times in the Bronx. Hours later, at dawn on Wednesday, another Hispanic man was shot dead: Rafael Vasquez (32) on East 180th St.

Also, a 46-year-old Jamaican immigrant who had recently arrived in the city was shot dead on Monday morning, September 9, as he was leaving his home for work in the Bronx. Hours later, an immigrant mother from China was shot dead in front of her family during a cellphone robbery in her residential building in Lower Manhattan.
