Mexican actress Eiza González and singer of Kosovo-Albanian origin Rita Ora starred in one of the most curious and striking moments of the 2024 Emmy Awards by wearing extremely similar dresses on the red carpet.
Thanks to the images shared through various media and social networks, it was possible to verify that both stars wore dresses characterized by a column silhouette design in a pink hue.
First, it was Rita Ora, 33, who arrived at the ceremony in her dress, designed by Tamara Ralph, which had a sweetheart neckline, a skirt that fell in pleats and draped details at the waist, all with a cape decorated with feathers and satin fabric.
Surprisingly, and just moments later, Eiza González walked the red carpet in a dress almost similar to Ora’s. However, the 34-year-old singer’s dress was characterized by more sensual and tight-fitting details because her dress, also designed by Tamara Ralph, had a plunging neckline and a geometric shape.
Likewise, this dress had an embroidery with thousands of small sequins that highlighted the actress’ figure. Finally, and like Ora, the dress of the interpreter of “Alita: Battle Angel” had a layer of feathers with a lot of volume.
Why did Eiza González and Rita Ora wear almost similar dresses?
As on every red carpet of an event of this magnitude, the team of stylists for each star tries to avoid at all costs that their artists wear similar dresses or looks. It has even been revealed that these people seek out the brands to obtain the loan of their clothes and, in passing, ask who else they will dress to avoid this kind of situation.
Even more special is the case of Eiza González and Rita Ora, who wore two dresses by Australian designer Tamara Ralph. While the Mexican opted for a print that is part of the Fall/Winter 2024 Haute Couture collection, Ora’s dress is a custom creation by Ralph.
So far, neither star has reacted to what happened at the 2024 Emmys. Likewise, the stylists of both celebrities have decided to remain silent.
