Good news for Sabrina Carpenter fans! The talented singer and actress will headline a Netflix Christmas special titled A ‘Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter’, which will air on December 6 and promises to be a combination of music, comedy and all the magic of the season.
The show will feature unexpected duets and comedic guests, although the names of the contestants have not yet been revealed.
While many plot and song details are still being kept under wraps, Carpenter is expected to perform songs from her holiday EP ‘Fruitcake’ and other seasonal classics during the special.
She might also perform a few songs from her recent album ‘Short n’ Sweet’, such as “Espresso”, “Please Please Please” and “Taste”, and she might even offer a special version of her hit “Nonsense” tailored for the occasion that will surely be a delight for her fans and all those who enjoy the Christmas cheer.
In a statement shared by Netflix, Sabrina Carpenter expressed her excitement about making this special and highlighted that the holidays have always been important to her.
“The holidays have always been very special to me. I’m excited to offer my take on a classic Christmas variety show, infusing my love of music and comedy to create something that is uniquely my own,” Carpenter said.
The 25-year-old singer, under her label At Last Productions, produces this special together with OBB Pictures.
In a teaser shared on her Instagram account, a camera pans down Carpenter’s body to reveal fur-trimmed boots, tights and a red leotard before revealing her face.
“Were you expecting someone else?” he asks, as fake snow falls on his head.
Carpenter’s new album, “Short n’ Sweet,” released on August 23, reached number one on the Billboard Hot 200. In addition, the 25-year-old received the award for Song of the Year for the song “Espresso” during the last edition of the MTV Video Music Awards, where she performed her most popular songs in a Britney Spears-inspired act.
