Al-Nassr footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is increasingly leaving more clues about his inevitable retirement from football and in the midst of a new promotion for his YouTube channel UR: Cristiano revealed new details about what awaits him and what he thinks about the future.
In a new part of the conversation with his friend, the former English footballer Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo said that the main thing he will miss when he leaves the field will be the adrenaline he feels every time he plays a professional match.
“I think what I’m going to miss the most is not having the adrenaline of being in the stadium, of being nervous, that’s what I’m going to miss the most, because in other places I have it well under control,” he said in the chat with Ferdinand.
El Bicho believes that the adrenaline he experiences alongside the fans is something he will never feel again in his life and that this is also a fundamental reason why he hopes to continue playing football for a little longer than 40 years.
“I have good people around me, but the adrenaline of playing football will never exist again, that’s why I’m staying in football for a little longer. At 40, you say ‘yes, I gave it my all’, 40, 41, 42, it doesn’t matter, you say ‘I gave my all in 25 years of football, I can’t give any more’ because you know that age doesn’t allow you to keep going. That’s why I extend my longevity and that’s why I take care of myself to keep working, because I know that in two or three more years I can still produce something new,” he added in his comment.
Ronaldo later said that he will definitely miss football when he retires and he might even cry a little and feel lost.
“Will I miss it? (Football) Of course I will, I will probably feel a bit lost, do you think I will cry with all the life I have? Maybe a little, because I have become more sensitive, so I will be a bit like that,” explained the former Real Madrid player.
Despite this, he is also aware that he will have to face new challenges full-time, such as dedicating himself to being an entrepreneur, a profession which he began at a very early age and which he manages in parallel with football.
“I have other things to worry about and now there will be another chapter in my life which is the business part. (That) also excites me and it will be a challenge for me to learn other areas that I don’t really know about,” he revealed.
At 39 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo already boasts of running a business empire, including a chain of hotels, the production of bottled water, an underwear factory under his CR7 brand, as well as clinics specializing in hair implants.
All of the above is unrelated to other projects Ronaldo is involved in, such as his lifetime contract with Nike, his dominance of social media where he has already accumulated more than 1 billion followers and translates into advertising contracts, as well as the YouTube channel where he has set himself the goal of soon surpassing the king of the platform, the influencer and content creator, Mr. Beast.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s immediate goals before leaving football include becoming the first player to score 1,000 goals officially and also winning a title with Al-Nassr.
