Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado said the fight of the majority anti-Chavez movement, which denounced fraud in the July 28 elections, is “accelerating on various levels,” while she considered that Nicolas Maduro is weakening politically as the days go by.

“We are living days of enormous intensity and things are moving a lot and accelerating on various levels,” the liberal said in a video she shared through X, in which she repeated that Chavismo, which defends Maduro’s victory in the elections, “is becoming more alone and isolated every day.”

He stressed that Maduro’s controversial “victory” has not been recognized by many countries and that this proclamation by the pro-government National Electoral Council (CNE), questioned inside and outside the country, caused the Chavista leader to lose “a lot” of international support.

“Maduro is only recognized by the tyrannies of the world,” he stressed.

Every day we are closer.
Every day the pressure on Maduro grows; every day he becomes more isolated and weaker.

Every day we have more support, every day we are stronger and closer to reuniting our families in Venezuela!

Machado, who has remained under close protection in recent weeks, reiterated that the main opposition coalition – the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) – has “a robust strategy” to assert the victory that, they say, their standard-bearer, Edmundo González Urrutia, obtained in the presidential elections.

“We have had rigorous discipline to comply with it and, because we have maintained confidence in the political leadership, they have not been able to infiltrate us. We have remained united, that is why I ask you to focus on the goal, we are going to enforce the popular sovereignty expressed on July 28 and that is what is going to happen,” he insisted.

He also stressed that “every day there is more pressure on” Maduro, who has the support of all state institutions, including the Armed Forces.

“Every day they are weaker and every day we are stronger, every day we are closer to liberating Venezuela and bringing our children back home, so be calm, courageous and firm,” he concluded.
