The impact and significance of Mexican singer Thalía has been confirmed once again after the 53-year-old singer was welcomed in Paris, France, by several of her fans, through the song from one of her main works: “Marimar.”
Thanks to a series of images and videos that went viral on social media, the arrival of the “A Quién Le Importa” singer to Paris Fashion Week was captured, where she stole the spotlight thanks to her leather look that consisted of a top with voluminous sleeves, a school-style skirt, a belt, XL black boots and other accessories that gave her a rocker style.
However, what was truly shocking about the Mexican’s arrival in the French city was seeing that several people who were on the street recognized the actress and did not hesitate to show their affection for her by singing the main theme of the melodrama she starred in in 1994.
Thalía establishes herself as an icon of Latin pop culture
In the same clip, it was possible to notice how a particular fan, after taking a photo with Thalía, began to sing the main chorus of the song “Marimar”, which was performed by the same artist in its original version.
After this, the fan “encouraged” Thalía to sing and dance, ending the moment with a hug from the model.
In the viral videos, you can also see and hear the singer being called by the name Rosalinda, a clear reference to the last melodrama that the Mexican starred in in 1999.
This surprised and delighted the singer of “Arrasando”, who thanked everyone present with kisses in the air and greetings.
Following the warm welcome the Mexican singer has received, Thalía has used her social media to show part of her time at Paris Fashion Week, where she has worn a variety of looks that reaffirm her status as an icon of Latin pop culture.
Thalia prepares new music
Prior to her current stay in the French capital, the businesswoman also used her official platforms to confirm that her next musical project is “just around the corner.”
Through a post in which she appears on top of a vehicle listening to music on her cell phone with the help of headphones, the Latin artist hinted that the rehearsals she had done in previous weeks, and which she also shared on her Instagram account, had ended, so her new project would be in the promotion phase.
