Majo Aguilar has expressed her displeasure with the rumours surrounding her cousin Angela Aguilar, particularly those suggesting that she uses hairpieces to accentuate her figure. The singer believes that such speculation is inappropriate and reflects a lack of respect for the authenticity of women in the music industry.
“They asked me about my cousin’s body, I’m not going to say it, but they asked me if she used certain tricks or not on her body, and I laughed, because when something seems absurd to me I laugh. But then I thought that I shouldn’t have laughed. But it’s not funny,” she said in a video shared on the camera’s social network.
“It’s a terrible thing how they constantly want to contrast me with Angela, with my uncle Pepe, making up things. I don’t know why? Nobody has done anything to me,” she added in the video, which she decided not to allow comments on.
In a world where personal image is often emphasized, Majo advocates for acceptance and appreciation of body diversity and supports Angela, reaffirming the need to focus attention on artistic talent rather than rumors about physical appearance.
However, she mentioned that she was tired of the rumors: “I saw a note this morning and that’s why I’m making this video. I’m not going to talk about my family anymore, nothing, nothing, nothing, because it’s incredible how everything is taken out of context. I understand that it’s a game, the industry and all that, but there’s a point where this has gotten out of control, maybe for a while and I hadn’t seen it, but it’s been too much.”
“I was asked in an interview at the airport if I would invite Angela and my family to my wedding, if I ever got married, and I said yes. And the notes were: ‘Majo makes a strong innuendo; she would invite her family.’ Please, stop with all this, it really is horrible,” she said.
