After consumers have suffered high inflation for several months, it is striking to know that with little money they can buy several things, such is the case of a woman who shared her shopping experience at Target with a budget of $100, where got several stylish pieces for fall at low cost.

Amanda Krause shared with Business Insider her goal for finding fall clothes that would add a more sophisticated touch to her closet without breaking her budget.

After watching an active conversation on TikTok about fall clothes at Target, Amanda developed a plan to navigate each aisle and select pieces that weren’t just seasonally appropriate. She chose five items: three blouses and two pants. Although the total came to $126, using her Target debit card saved her 5%, reducing the bill to $119.70.

During the purchase, the dilemma arose of going over budget, you could spend $26 more than budgeted or take off a pair of pants to reduce the total to $98 dollars. Amanda concluded that whatever option she chose would be a great way to save money compared to the high prices of similar brand-name clothing.

Amand noticed that many of the options chosen were similar to high-end clothing she had seen online. For example, an $18 knit tank top looked like a $118 cashmere-blend piece from J.Crew. Likewise, a $30 pair of cream-colored pants was comparable in style to a $148 pair from Alo Yoga, a popular luxury brand.

Another case involved a $25 sweater that reminded him of a $198 item at Neiman Marcus. The $28 burgundy chinos were similar to $130 pants from Anthropologie, while a $25 vest was a good option against a $175 piece from Ralph Lauren.

The amazing thing was that for just $100, Amanda was able to pick up several pieces of clothing that would otherwise be priced much higher at other stores.

The lesson from this experience is that, although Target’s clothing could not easily be confused with designer clothing, the quality was remarkable. The tops and pants felt comfortable and well made, ensuring they could be worn for several years. Furthermore, the purchase prices were definitely very attractive and convincing.
