The Mexican singer Belinda spoke again about the fall she suffered at the L’Oreal brand show at Fashion Week in Paris, France, mentioning that the lack of rehearsals was one of the factors of her stumble.
During a recent interview with Elle México, the 35-year-old artist pointed out, due to the large number of comments she has received that what happened was a “stage,” that her fall was totally “real” as well as an accident.
I believe that no one wants to fall on a L’Oreal catwalk, or any other. In the end, there’s no way you want to fall in a parade. That’s for all the people who think I did it on purpose, well no, obviously it was an accident that happens to anyone, and a great lesson for me.”
Why did Belinda fall?
Regarding the reason for her fall, the actress also did not go into details, however, she made it clear that the lack of rehearsals and preparation, due to the city’s climate, was one of the causes of her accident: “That day I was raining a lot. I couldn’t rehearse because it was raining and it was impossible.
After the viralized fall of Belinda, who was helped by the Brazilian singer Anitta, various videos and images were spread in which the Mexican, who visibly burst into tears after the stumble, was backed and supported by some celebrities.
I cried after the catwalk. It really hurt me, not so much the physical blow, because I did hit myself and got bruises, but the heart. At the time I thought: ‘I’m so disappointed in myself, why?’, and then I saw so many people who supported me, from Jane Fonda and Andie MacDowell, one of my favorite actresses, who sat me on her lap.
In the same talk, the Latin model also made it clear that, to her own surprise, it was her “inner strength” that caused her to get up and move forward in the prestigious parade.
I don’t know how I did it, really. Because I see the videos and say: ‘it can’t be how I got up and changed my face’, I think that’s why people think it was all an act, because I really got up and continued. But I think it’s that inner strength, that I’m also a Leo, and the Leo that I have inside came out and I said: ‘I get up, I continue and I finish’”
Finally, and as a lesson in her career, Belinda pointed out that what happened in Paris could even inspire her to “write a book” that narrates the emotions she experienced.
