Fans of Halloween celebrations have good news, as McDonald’s is bringing back the buckets that were given with the purchase of Happy Meals in the 1980s with new designs.
The Happy Meal buckets reappeared in 2022 after a hiatus and are now back again starting October 15 for a short time at McDonald’s stores nationwide.
This year the launch is a few days earlier than last year, when they activated the promotion on October 17, Mashed reviews.
Buckets for trick-or-treating
During the Halloween celebration, it is customary to wear fun costumes with themes alluding to witches’ nights, ghosts and skulls; and there is also the custom of asking for sweets and candy from door to door, so these buckets are ideal for that day.
For this year the designs focused on four colors: white, orange, green and the new blue cube, which replaces the purple tone used last year.
Unlike last year, when images of specific spooky characters were used, such as skeleton and vampire cubes, for 2024 the designs are more generic, with the option to customize the cubes with stickers.
The Boo Buckets will be delivered with the purchase of Happy Meal at McDonald’s stores nationwide while supplies last.
