Marie Claire Harp has shared details about her recent separation from José Manuel Figueroa, with whom she had an on-again, off-again relationship for more than two years. In a press conference, the presenter revealed that she decided to return the engagement ring to the singer, considering it was the right thing to do after definitively ending their relationship.
“Engagement rings depend on each person, that is, it depends on each woman. I, for example, returned it because I feel that it was a ring that they gave me with the commitment to get married. So if there’s no commitment, if there wasn’t that promise, then take it back, right? So. From the first moment I decided that this commitment was not going to go anywhere, I let him know where the ring was and that’s it,” he said in a meeting with the media.
Although the breakup caused her pain at the time, Marie Claire has expressed her desire to leave that stage of her life behind. Regarding her current sentimental situation, the host, originally from Venezuela, has stated that she is single, but does not close the door to a new relationship, as long as her potential partner meets certain qualities.
“It has been very painful, the truth is, it was almost a year ago that we separated, so I think that we have to erase that and start a new story. Open to the energies and no longer think, no longer speak, no longer say, and let whatever has to come in,” he mentioned.
The couple met when Marie Claire had been in Mexico for five months; From the beginning, she highlighted the gentlemanly and attentive treatment that José Manuel always had with her. With this new stage, the presenter seeks to focus on her personal well-being and the opportunities that the future holds for her.
“At first, you do everything possible to perhaps rescue the relationship or something like that, but it couldn’t be done… the truth is that I would like to not talk about him anymore, that is, shelve it,” he added in front of reporters.
