Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023, is close to saying goodbye to her reign, one of the most successful in recent years, as visits to other countries and social activities of the contest winner resumed with greater zeal.
Shortly before handing over her crown in Mexico City to her successor, the Nicaraguan offered an interview to Imagen Radio in which she spoke about the next edition of the contest.
During the conversation with Qué tal Fernanda, from Imagen Televisión, the beauty queen had to face tough questions, from which she emerged victorious.
For example, Emilio Vallesvidrio told him that it seemed unfair that transgender women participated in the contest and Sheynnis Palacios explained to him: “Those women want to have the opportunity to be on a platform that respects you for who you are, for your life story that “It is being an agent of change and having the opportunity, Miss Universe does not restrict the opportunity to anyone, on the contrary, it always has its doors open for all those women who want to be heard, who want to raise their voices.”
The other moderator, Santiago Vizl, was the one who asked another controversial question: “What is the difference between the character who sits down to answer these types of questions or stands on stage, and who goes to bed just like the people.”
Immediately, Sheynnis Palacios answered: “None. The title and the crown do not make me different from others, it does not make me opt for a different personality, on the contrary, the fact that you remain as you are is the most beautiful thing that exists, of course, I am the same Sheynnis as always, how I talk with my family, friends, how I talk with each of you. “I am the same Sheynnis, why would I have to choose a personality or a character, when you are talking about being an ambassador who will not only be one during her year of reign, but is already for her entire life.”
In this sense, he completed: “That is what Miss Universe is looking for, a transparent, real, genuine woman because when you opt for that character there comes a moment when you can’t take it anymore and you explode.”
The conversation had some peaks of discomfort that the public clearly noticed and that is why they left messages on the YouTube channel such as: “He ate the two malicious guys who were sitting there. “He left them dry.”
Another message they left was: “I love how Sheynnis didn’t leave any questions. He responded correctly but also with humanity and humility.
