The Israeli Army reported that several anti-aircraft sirens were activated in different locations in northern Israel, after the country’s armed forces intensified their attacks against Lebanon and Gaza the day before, on the anniversary of the attack by the Hamas group, considered a terrorist group by several. countries.

The sirens sounded this Israeli morning in several points in the north of the country, including Rosh HaNikra and Betzet, Kiryat Shmona and Kerem Ben Zimra, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.

Projectiles from Lebanon to Israel

Hours before, they reported that they identified several projectiles crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory, without specifying damage.

The Israeli Army also indicated that as of 11:00 p.m. on Monday night (9:00 p.m. GMT), approximately 190 projectiles fired by “Hezbollah terrorists crossed from Lebanon into Israel.”

“The Israeli Defense Forces will continue to operate against the threat of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in defense of the State of Israel and its residents,” he added.

Attacks on Beirut

The Israeli Army reported on Monday that fighter jets from its Air Force carried out attacks in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, against “terrorist targets” belonging to the intelligence headquarters of the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah.

They reported that they also attacked southern Lebanon and the Beqaa area, in the east of the country, where they claim that “terrorist infrastructures” are located.

Since the conflict spread to Lebanon, more than 2,000 people have died, according to data from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, and 1.2 million have been forced to move due to constant Israeli attacks.

Meanwhile, the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip remains entrenched a year after the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel by Hamas that left 1,200 dead and 250 kidnapped.

After that attack, Israel launched an offensive that to date leaves a trail of 41,900 dead, including some 17,000 minors, and 97,000 injured.

The Hebrew State Army yesterday ordered new evacuations of the civilian population in Khan Yunis, south of the enclave, and the towns of Jabalia, Beit Lahia and Beit Hanoun, in the north, due to the regrouping of Hamas troops in those areas.
