The case of sexual and physical assault against Desahun Watson ceased to exist. The allegations were resolved with a confidential settlement between the parties. This was revealed on Monday by the woman’s lawyer to ESPN.
At the end of the day, at night, Tony Buzbee told the network that the differences between his client and the Cleveland Browns player could be resolved. “We have now resolved our client’s claim with Deshaun Watson (…) the agreement is confidential.”
Sexual assault case against Desahun Watson
A woman who took refuge under the pseudonym Jane Doe filed the complaint in Houston, Texas. The alleged victim assured that the episode occurred on October 10, 2020. Four years ago.
According to Doe, Watson sexually assaulted her at her home. “Jane Doe came out of her bathroom and, surprisingly, found herself completely naked in her bed, face down,” says the woman’s testimony in the complaint published by NBC.
Apparently, the Cleveland Browns star insisted that he massage her buttocks and he ended up sexually assaulting her.
Deshaun Watson accumulates almost 30 lawsuits for sexual harassment and assault
In March 2021, the scandal broke out for the NFL star. At least 25 women reported harassment or assault after Watson hired them to give them a “massage.”
The controversy lasted for at least a year and was calmed because his lawyer obtained confidential agreements with each of the alleged victims. With this action he avoided trials. At the time, Watson was playing for the Houston Texans.
