The forum Latinos ask… Donald Trump answers, Scheduled for this Tuesday, October 8, it was postponed due to the imminent arrival of Hurricane Milton in Florida.
The Univision network, which organizes the event, reported that the event was rescheduled for Wednesday, October 17.
The forum, where the former president would answer questions from undecided Hispanic voters on key issues such as the economy, employment, immigration and foreign policy, was part of a series of meetings with the presidential candidates.
These events are moderated by journalist Enrique Acevedo.
Meanwhile, the forum Latinos ask… Kamala Harris answers, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, maintains its original date of Thursday, October 10, as confirmed by the Hispanic network.
Hurricane Milton, the second to affect Florida in less than 15 days, also forced the Republican campaign to cancel a round table with Latino leaders scheduled for Tuesday morning.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with those in the path of Hurricane Milton,” Danielle Alvarez, an adviser to the Trump campaign, said in a statement.
Milton, which reached Category 5, will make landfall on Florida’s west coast near Tampa Bay and cross the state from west to east starting Wednesday.
