More than 15 coastal states due to the snow storm that will impact some 50 millions of people. The effects will be diverse, because while more than eight inches of snow is expected in the northern part of the state of New York, in the Big Apple the maximum would be 0.8 inches.

The states that will be affected by the snowfall during this Monday are Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Virginia and Vermont .

Even in some states where snow is not forecast, there are tornado and rain alerts, such as in Florida, reported the National Weather Service (NWS).

Over the weekend, Storm Izzy caused widespread power outages in the central part of the country and the East Coast, as well as road closures and countless flight cancellations.

The NWS office in New York reported snowfall, with the highest in Peekskill at 9.3 inches and Port Jervis with 8.4 inches.

In Pennsylvania some regions will have 12 inches of snow .

Monday’s strong winds could cause coastal flooding from Virginia to Maine, the reports indicate.

Winds will also be attempts with gusts of up to 65 miles per hour. In the Big Apple there are wind warnings in the afternoon.

In Long Island there will also be winds and snowfalls that will begin after noon this Monday from Martin Luther King Jr.

At least 1,200 flights were canceled this Monday due to the forecast of storms in the region.
