dario-benedetto-confirmed-his-return-to-argentina-with-boca-juniors

Argentine football will experience once again the explosiveness of striker Darío Benedetto, after the same player confirmed his return with Boca Juniors and thus put an end to his path in the Spanish First Division with Elche. In addition, the veteran attacker will be landing on Argentine salary on Thursday.

“ I said that I would return to Boca Juniors in one way or another and I have already kept my word: I will always be a fan of that club and now I have been given the opportunity to return as a player to the club that I love”, declared Benedetto to the international press.

Benedetto, was present in European football from the time rada 2019 when he was transferred to Marseille from France for 15 millions of euros. Subsequently and two years later, he left on loan to Elche in Spain with a purchase option of seven million euros.

Now, after not having his best time in the Santander League, Elche put an end to the South American striker’s loan at the end of the first half of the season and that meant an increase in his chances of returning to Argentina.

“I want to find the minutes that in Elche I did not have. I will continue supporting the entity from the place that now touches me. I am happy with this time at Elche, in which I have learned many things, and at the same time I am happy to return to the club that I love”, added the South American player.

In Spain, Benedetto only scored two goals and provided one assist in 587 minutes played for Elche. While in France, he left his numbers blank. In addition, the one born in Berazategui did not hide his regret at not being able to say goodbye on the field.

“It would have been nice to say goodbye from the field, but I was having some discomfort in the adductor and I preferred not to risk it because the matter of my pass was already done. Coach Francisco understood it that way and that’s why I didn’t concentrate. It would have been nice to say goodbye to Madrid, but tomorrow I’ll be flying to Argentina”, concluded the veteran footballer.

With the “Xeneize” club, Benedetto played for three seasons, precisely from 587 to 2019, managing to score 32 goals in 49 League games. In addition to shaking the nets five times in national cups and eight in international tournaments.
