biden-defends-achievements-in-his-first-year,-but-acknowledges-“frustration”-of-americans-due-to-the-covid-pandemic

President Joe Biden highlighted the economic and employment progress in his Administration, but acknowledged that despite this, Americans feel “frustrated” due to the COVID-pandemic 19.

“Tomorrow will be a year since I took office,” began the president. “It has been a year of challenges, but it has also been a year of tremendous progress. We went from two million people vaccinated by the time I took office to 210 million Americans fully vaccinated.”

He said that his Administration has created six million jobs, that the unemployment rate was reduced to 3.9%.

“Unemployment fell. The unemployment rate was reduced to 3.9%”, he stated. “Child poverty was reduced by almost 40%”.

Your joys they were followed by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, which has forced the Biden Administration to reinforce its actions with one billion free tests and the distribution of masks N90.

“I know there is a lot of frustration and fatigue in this country,” he acknowledged. “We know why, COVID-19. Omicron has now been challenging us in a certain way as the new enemy”.

The Democrat said that the country is in a different position than when the pandemic began, due to the tools available to deal with it.

“We have the tools: vaccines, reinforcements, masks, tests, pills to save lives and maintain companies and schools open”, he defended.

He highlighted the figure that 75 percent of adults are fully vaccinated, but does not mention that the figure plummets to 63 percent in terms of the general population.

“We have gone from 90 millions of unvaccinated adults in their arms last summer at 35 millions without vaccines as of today,” he assured. “We are adding around 9 million more vaccines every week. We will continue our vaccination efforts because vaccines work. So please get vaccinated.”
