Actress Dora Cadavid, known for giving life to the character of Inesita in ‘Yo Soy Betty, la Fea’, died at the age of 84 from undisclosed causes , according to various media.
María Cecilia Botero, niece of the famous, confirmed the death in some interviews.
Cadavid was born in November 1937 in Medellín, Colombia, and from a young age she was very attached to the show, since she used to escape from school to go to radio booths and give her voice to roles of villains in radio soap operas.
She managed to become a poetry reciter for the local radio program La Voz de Antioquia, work for which she was discovered by producer Fausto Cabrera, who helped her get to the theater and TV.
His first job was with the work Spectros, after which he had appearances in shows and staging such as Rasputin, Bodas de Sangre, Café con Aroma de Mujer, Señora Bonita, among others.
Inesita, her personal son in ‘Yo Soy Betty, la Fea’, gave him international popularity thanks to the tenderness he instilled in many viewers and the chemistry he had with other roles, especially with Hugo Lombardi, played by Julián Arango.
Retired from public life in 2017.
