A great tragedy occurred last weekend inside a house in the town of Mendoza, Argentina, where a young man aged 17 died after receiving a powerful electric shock while charging his cell phone.

According to what was narrated by the family of the adolescent identified as Ángel Andrada, around 8 o’clock last Saturday night, the boy went to his bedroom to charge his cell phone, which was already out of battery, when suddenly they heard a loud noise coming from the room.

The young man’s father entered the bedroom and found his son passed out and completely unconscious, with signs of burns. He immediately transferred him to a local hospital where he died a couple of hours later.

According to the medical record, Andrada died from an electric shock; In addition to presenting burns on the neck, on both wrists and on the right foot.

After taking a statement from the victim’s father, the police officers examined the telephone charger and the electrical connections of the housing in order to obtain elements to determine the cause of death.
