What a bad aim! Last night Michael Keaton chose the worst possible time to make a quick visit to the bathroom of the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, where the SAG Awards were taking place, and missed the category in which he was nominated.

The interpreter found out that he had won the award for Best Actor in a Movie or Miniseries when he was literally in the bathroom and had to run out -fastening his tuxedo in a hurry, we suppose- to go pick it up.

The problem is that his absence caused the person in charge of handing over the statuette, Salma Hayek, to spend a few terrible minutes while waiting in front of a star-studded auditorium not knowing very well what to do and most likely wondering why he had accepted to participate in the gala in the first place.

“ Are you kidding? I have stage fright, “explained the Mexican, who was getting more and more nervous.

The first thing Keaton did when he finally appeared on stage was apologize for his lateness. “Sorry, I had to make a quick visit to the bathroom, and it was full, by the way”, he assured everyone present with great ease.
