A plane belonging to the US airline Southwest was evacuated on Monday night from the San Juan International Airport due to an alleged bomb threat received by a traveler in a text message, the Puerto Rico Police reported Tuesday.

According to preliminary information given by the authorities, the co-pilot of the flight 2420 of the aforementioned airline bound for the state of Florida, said that a woman on board the plane received a text message with two images of bombs.

After that, the protocol was activated with the Explosives and Canine Unit of the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport Police.

In turn, the people who boarded the plane were evicted internally so that the authorities will inspect the ship and rule out the finding of any suspicious material, resulting in a false alarm.

No person injured or affected by the situation was reported.

An agent named Frías, assigned to the Airport Precinct, took charge of the investigation
