A prosecutor released the woman who allegedly shot her son-in-law seven times after he assaulted her partner, the suspect’s daughter.

The events occurred after 4 pm on Friday at the tattoo shop owned by the victim, identified as Omar Nieves Rivera, in the Dajaos neighborhood, Sabana sector of the municipality of Bayamón.

Nieves Rivera arrived at the aforementioned place where his mother-in-law and her partner. Nieves Rivera, aged 41, was allegedly arguing with her partner, who is the daughter of the security guard, identified as Donna Lee Petska Santiago.

“In the discussion, the young woman’s mother, Mrs. Donna Lee Petska Santiago, alleges , that there was an aggression by this individual towards his daughter. She intervenes in the discussion, and in the middle of the intervention, there is a firearm for which she has a license to carry, and she fires several shots at the young man and he falls to the ground…”, he indicated in the program Early in the morning of the radio station WKAQ 580, Ricardo Haddok, CIC director of Bayamón

“He shot him several times, around seven shots, the prosecutor has not taken a determination yet”, specified the police spokesman.

Initially, the woman told the investigators that she had received a slap, according to the report by El Vocero.

The deceased tattooed on site, while his partner managed the business.

According to Haddok, the subject had an extensive history that included charges of domestic violence.

“The man had a history of assault, Law 54 (domestic violence), for damages in different years , around five incidents with a criminal record”, listed the spokesperson.

The woman was released while the investigation progresses to determine if charges will be filed against her .

“The prosecutor has the last word, he wants us to do some interviews with relatives and neighbors, we are going to do them, we are going to do everything he asked us to do, so that he can then make the decision I’m going to drink”.

The suspect availed herself of the Fifth Amendment not to declare to the authorities.
