ukraine's-attorney-general-shares-video-on-facebook-showing-russian-rocket-hit-kharkiv-apartment-kitchen

Images shared on Facebook by Irina Venediktova, Ukraine’s attorney general, show the impact of a rocket launched by Russian forces on a house in Kharkiv, the country’s second largest city.

“Today in Kharkiv it is more hellish than yesterday. Here in the photo the shell hit the kitchen window, the woman tore her leg, she died in the hospital”, shared the head of the Prosecutor’s Office this Monday from her account on the social network.

The compendium of images includes a video showing the rocket lying inside the kitchen, debris, and water falling through a hole in the ceiling.

This was not the only bombing reported yesterday. The attacks in the city killed nine civilians, including three children, and injured other 37 people, according to the CNN network count.

According to videos on social networks geolocated by the media, multiple rockets exploded close to each other in the Saltivka neighborhood, near a supermarket in the northeast of the city, an area that the Russian military has continuously attacked.

Another video shows the impact of missiles on a government administrative office in the city.

Russian launches in this city, as well as in the capital Kiev, are reported despite the fact that both countries publicly maintained yesterday in the afternoon talks for a ceasefire. Mikhaylo Podolyak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, told reporters that the meetings seek to end combat actions on Ukrainian territory.

Without going into details, Podolyak added that both sides will continue to their respective capitals to see if they will implement the “decisions” discussed at the meeting.

“I really don’t believe in the outcome of this meeting, but we are going to let them try, so that no one citizen of Ukraine has no doubt that I, as president, did not try to stop this war when there was at least a minimal opportunity, “said Zelenskyy on Sunday.
